second life
Although i did not get onto second life at the class meeting time because the software did not download i did get to experience second life afterwards. I think that the concept of a program like second life is really cool. Being able to create your own avatar and make it look like whatever you want and you are able to go wherever you want makes it actually like having a second life. Although the keys were kind of hard to figure out how to move the way i wanted to, having the option to fly and teleport places was really cool. This program allows the user to put their real life aside to become whatever and whoever they want to become. Although this program is a very creative idea i do feel it can become a little dangerous. I think that getting chatted by random people is a little scary and creepy and I think that an option of maybe adding people as a friend and choosing that only your friends can chat with you may be helpful in eliminating the creepy and weird factor. I also think that second life is aimed at attracting an older crowd and even if it is not i think it should be. With the amount of freedom that is offered on this site i do not think that anyone under the age of 17 should be allowed on this site unless there are some restrictions set in place.

Mobile Skype
I believe after reading this article and about verizon's deal with skype that allowing skype on the phone software is beneficial to both consumer and supplier. I think this because the customer is still paying for a plan and for minutes and using a skype call is counted against the customers minutes so they are not getting ripped off by the people talking for free using skype. Also skype software being available on the phone might make a certain carrier appeal to customers more.
